hey all, i might be gettin a 99 R6 that im using as a stunt bike. im a little new to the stunt bike stuff. i want to put the right parts on this thing so i dont blow it up like i did to my tl1000r. ive always been a sno-x racer and decided to give it up for a few years and do more with the stunting. i know about the cage, 12 bar and sprockets and all that **** im just wondering about the motor stuff. any issues with the carbs? oil pickup? that stuff. its gonna be a nice half fairing fighter look when im done with dirt bars.

My first move would be another bike if I was in your situation.

 

99r6s are cool....sync the carbs learn brake control....i dont think they have a bad oil problem...
wheeliest had an older r6 so does stuntmetal nick

check wit them

 

butttt if u are plannin on being real serious another bike would be a better option, cuz ull wanna scrap the r6 when u start gettin tight...

 

those make excellent stuntbikes, my boy has one and kills it. but back on track, like previously stated get the carbs sync'd and MAKE SURE YOU DO THE CLEAN AIR MOD, other than that just get a cage (he has a tygershark 1st gen) and you will be fine.

 

well im tradin my sno-x sled for it so im kinda in a bind on model options... so i dont have to worry about a pickup tube in the motor? whats the clean air mod?

Should be close to the same for your bike.

I use to have an 00 R6 and loved it but didn't stunt like I do now.

I currently have an 04 R6 and LOVE IT!!!!

keep an extra motor nearby 4 when the gearbox goes out, but otherwise a descent stuntbike

 

get a handful of regulator/ rectifiers, thye like to burn the plugs up. , besides that i haven't really had a whole lot of trouble, but i'm not all that good, can catch idle, and kill it on the highway, but thats about it,
