i bought a 99r1 for 2 g's a couple months ago. looped it a few days after i got it. so the tail is trashed and second gear was gone when i got it. but i met this dude tonight that was riding a 99zx6 and i asked him if he wanted to trade and he said ya. so i have the zx for the night and i think im gonna do it. its already geared and everything works. i dont need a 1000 anyways, too much power...i go way to fast.... what do you guys think?

 

Go for it I have one and learned a lot with it. Like people said the frame has devloped a few cracks, still in one peice, and being carbed has it's problems, stalls when close to 12.

 

i think you should ride a bike you like, and go with what works for you.

 

ya the r1 was carburated too though....
but i traded and i love the zx6. already ordered a cage for it :YEAH
