has anyone put an 06 6363 into 03-04 before?what probs did you have?

I just bought a salvaged 06 636 Sat. and It has a 03 or 04 front rim...As far as I know the front end is the only thing that will swap out with out 2 much of a pain in the ***

A friend of mine has done it twice now (05 636 motor in an 04 bike). The upper rear motor mount won't line up, but you can make it work. Also, I think something is different about the cam timing pickup thing and the stator plugs. You have to do something with those. He ran his bike with the '04 wiring harness, airbox, and throttle bodies. The airbox also doesn't seal up perfectly, but he put additional padding around the edges and made it work.

It's not a direct bolt-in swap, but it's also not impossible.

ok thats what i wanted to hear!i have mine in and the top rear doesnt line up....im just gonna cut the top[ one in half line it up and re weld.i also got the 06 radiator to fit along with the singarm.just waiting on my tank and tail and its on!

i would rather put the 03-04 motor in the 05-06. they always seem to run better
