The aluminum bar ends I've run before snapped and they saved my throttle tubes, but f'd up my clipon. However, the plastic ones crushed f'in up my throttle tube but saved my clipon. It seemed like a no win battle.

I was thinking of having an aluminum cap with an 1/8" of inch between the bar end (or throttle tube) and the aluminum cap which will give it strength. So now you have a strong aluminum cap to protect the end of your bar, but bolt on (or screw on, or however) the end cap which is about 1/2" of delrin so it slides. No more crushed throttle tube from the aluminum cap, and no more broken clips or whatever else b/c the delrin will slide.

See what I'm saying?
yeah, your post just reminded me the R6 clip-ons are threaded. F4i clip-ons are so thin i dont think you could thread them , maybe you could thread a set of aftermarket aluminum ones, but once youve done all that work it would just be easier to run the delrin ones.

or you could just...

stop squiding out you squid.
