So I wanna go back to like a 530 chain setup. I have a 520 setup now and im eating teeth on those lightweight rear sprockets. Whats the best most durable chain you guys have used? Any of you guys prefer a certain chain over another?
Re: chains
i have a 520 setup on my bike. had it since i got it 3 years ago. Pretty sure its all about how u take care of your chain that keeps sprockets good. Lube up your chain every now and again and keep your chain adjusted. dont be lazy?
Re: chains
Anyone think a certain chain company is better than another? I'm still wanting to go back to a 530 though....suggestions would be cool, its not a huge deal, just wondering
Re: chains
thats because aluminum and steel dont mix. i will never put an aluminum piece of crap sprocket on any of my bikes. people worry about unsprung weight yet they have a heavy *** cage and 12 bar on there bike.
i'm not picky about chains, they all have there own little design, x ring, z ring, super xgy13 mumbo jumbo, just make sure its 530. that has the strongest tensile strength for clutching it up all the time. i use a gangster 60 tooth geared steel sprocket. i wont put an aluminum sprocket even if you gave it to me for free.

Re: chains
I got around 5,ooo miles on my 520 chain/sprockets on my R6 and they still look good.. Keep it adjusted right and lubed up and it will last a lot longer
Re: chains
And I have also heard of people wearing vortex out in 3,000 miles...
Chain maintenance is key..
