Chain keeps tightening and loosening!!!!

For some reason as my wheel rotates, the chain becomes loose at some points of the rotation and at other points of the rotation the chain is extremely tight. The wheel is not bent, either is the front or rear sprocket. One thing that I have noticed is that the chain will be at the correct tension for one full revolution of the sprocket, then after another half revolution, the chain will become really tight. This lasts for about a half revolution, then the chain goes back to the correct tension. I am completely lost, does anyone have any suggestions???

Re: Chain keeps tightening and loosening!!!!

I agree, chain is probably fuuuuuaaaarrked.
but be sure to rip off your front sprocket cover and check that the hole in your front sprocket is centred. I've seen a few cases where it's not perfectly centre and it will cause similar symptoms but at a higher frequency.

That's rare though so I'm tipping its the chain
