i don't have to buy any parts. nothing is broken. just needs to be re-attached.

you have to reattach a hose that keeps coming off?

did the hose come off the pump itself or one of the nipples on the underside of the tank...

They have these things called hose clamps they sell at the auto parts store... you just slip it over the hose and tighten it with a flat head screwdriver or one of them fancy sockets

Re: how to fix the fuel pump issue after droping r6 hard

Ok so i found the hardwire to the camera and was able to get the pictures. Here is what i saw when i took out the pump lol

Size: 95.9 KB

These are the steps i took so this wont ever happen again

Filed down these tabs to make some room..

Drilled a hole here

And zip tied the **** together. I had to cut the tab on the sensor bracket to make room for the zip tie. If you look closely its to zip tie on the right

and Presto. If you don't file down the tabs, the zip tie will create too much of a space and the pump wont fit into the tank. Easy fix for a common problem. Hope this helps fellow r6 riders.

nice work. i heard R6's can be a pain to work on. My f4i has the fuel pump on the outside and very accessible. good info to know though.

The pump it self is of course not made of plastic, just the housing.
