choice of riding gloves
choice of riding gloves
i want everyones opinion on riding gloves.... do you buy them for protection or do you buy what you can afford.... i wanted to make some like the alpine stars version.... with the carbon knuckles.... but they are pricey.... i personally own a pair... i actually see most guys stunting in 35 dollar and under dirt bike gloves...like fox, shift ,etc.... i want to know where to be on the price .... and style cause i only plan to make like 2000 pair of gloves with the stasis logo on them ....
Re: choice of riding gloves
ive been rockin those smx gloves for like 3 years now and love them for street riding but honestly in the lots i stopped wearing gloves cuz they actually cause me to lose grip when im doing combo circles. wearing gloves i can barely get 3 ralph louie circles around before i lose my grip, no gloves i can go endlessly. i was gonna try some of the thinner motox glvoes and see if they were better. i dont think i answered your question but well there it is lol.

Re: choice of riding gloves
I like to rock Mechanix gloves, thin, only reason i rock gloves is cause of sweating, otherwise id rock no gloves.
Although you know i'll be getting a pair from you either way, lol

Re: choice of riding gloves
I wear the fox dirtpaws, those alpinestars are good for streetriding but suck for stunting. I bet if you made some cool looking gloves like that and sold them for around 20 bucks about everyone on SL would buy a pair.
I had a similar problem, then I started buying gloves that are uncomfortably small, then once they break-in there perfect.

Re: choice of riding gloves
I just picked up the Icon Tarmacs for the new season. So far I can't complain. Feel just like a mx glove. All my other gloves I have had have ripped in the palm and my pointer finger on the clutch hand. Hopefully these will hold up in those areas. Anyone have them for a while how are they doing? If you do decide to make some gloves make sure they hold up well in those areas.
Re: choice of riding gloves
i'm rockin some fox mx gloves. they're tight as hell, got the carbon on the knuckles. and i only picked em up for 40 bucks. it was a great buy. tons of feel and good protection. no bleeding, and the palms are still perfectly in tact.
Re: choice of riding gloves
I think E-RACK prefers to rocks A Single glove on his right hand, Only because for some reason he wants to be the Michael Jackson of stunt riding... So I'm sure if you make A Pimped out White Right hand Glove with pink Lettering that says "I'm Gay" on it, E-RACK will be sure to buy it!
Re: choice of riding gloves
... i probably could make a pair that has no wear but i would charge like 150 bucks for them...
Re: choice of riding gloves
i like the smx to ... but it seems like only about 2 out of every 10 stunters use them and the others are using the fox dirt paws or the shift ones... i like the hi tech look of the alpinestars.... but i am looking make sure i get a damn good return on my investment.... seems like i am leaning towards the fox style gloves...thanks for the input.... i am gonna make some latex stunter gloves just for you....with the lube on the inside of the gloves
...i am gonna call the lube stuntacide instead of spermicide lol Re: choice of riding gloves

Mechanix gloves have always worked for me, and saved my *** looping one at the industrial park when i was learning bp and rear brakes control a while back, and i have never veered away from them. They have great feel, and arent hot, and for 20 bucks, how can ya go wrong?
