I run them too. There are a couple of different styles. I run the heavier duty models. I'll see if I can post a link.

Re: choice of riding gloves

I have a pair of leather Icon, but they fit like ****. The pinky is every bit as long as the ring finger. WTF? I got so tired of them, I went to walmart and dropped $10 on a pair of X-Games BMX gloves. They're already falling apart after a month or so and they won't do **** as far as protection, but they help me grip when my palms get sweaty. I'm lookin to pick up a pair of textile AStars, but I might hold out for yours.

Re: choice of riding gloves

i go through gloves like crazy, i have had all sorts of gloves in the past and you cant go past Alpinestars..

every other glove either tears apart or gives me blisters.

i currently run the Alpinestars Alloy glove and there sick.
before that i had the Alpinstars S-MX 2 Air Carbon and they where sick gloves aswell.

I rock the fox when I can because they have orange but pretty much any MX glove. Actual riding gloves are too thick

Re: choice of riding gloves

AlpineStars SMX gloves. Just thick enough to have some safety without sacrificing feel. Perfect IMO. If the gloves were anything like these I would buy a set.

Re: choice of riding gloves

I bought 3 pairs or the alpinestars s-moto , leather with the knuckles.
I went for look , knuckles, and leather. leather to last longer but I ride so much I tear through them. Really like the look. Hope this helps for some design.

Re: choice of riding gloves

i ride with Thor AC MX gloves
best gloves ive ever used besides having none...
they are super thin, and have no strap cause i find MX gloves with straps are annoyin
fit super tight with some serious stretch and more feel than you can shake a stick at...just dont hold up in any high speed get downs

Re: choice of riding gloves

These are the style gloves I have (Icon Tarmac 2.0) just a different color.

A little more padding than mx gloves, but still bend and grip like them. Somehow i always manage wear the those rubber pieces off the knuckles from sliding, so they must be doin somethin right.

I think gloves like this are where its at. Still a decent amount of protection (think about falling off your bicycle as a kid. even 5mph just tears up your hands with the small pieces of gravel), but still flexible enough, and enough feel so you can still do your thing.

An important part that i see alot of companies taking into consideration now (that they didnt back when i was riding MX), is around the wrist. Companies used to make them so damn tight, once your arms pump up even the slightest, you get restriction, and insta-arm pump.
