Re: Power Wheelies just as good as Clutch Ups

I wasnt trying to ruffle anybody's feathers, just seems like extra work and less control not ta clutch one. then again my 600 is geared -1/+2 and my R-1 is dead stock. may be why I feel more comfy and seem to get better results clutching them. do it how you do and how ya feel comfortable doing it.

So the point of this thread was for this guy to have ammunition to argue with a squid ......

Let the squid power wheelie and wreck and silently enjooy the satisfaction.

Re: Power Wheelies just as good as Clutch Ups

the dealer should offer an auto clutch option on all bikes, kinda like a 50

we wont have to buy easy pulls

On stock gearing seems impossible, but wouldn't it be possible on a giant sprocket though?

Anyways... I dont think killswitch said he was going to pop it up to idle from a dead stop. I think he said he was going to do a power wheelie and then bring it to idle from what I read.

Re: Power Wheelies just as good as Clutch Ups

I'd like to see soemone, do a power wheelie, IN MY DRIVEWAY, and park on the 12 bar..
Simple as can be while clutching.... Would be DAMN HARD in a power wheelie

I love when people say that, I always follow up with "I'm still on my stock clutch, with 28,000 on my bike"

Re: Power Wheelies just as good as Clutch Ups

If you're talking about powering up a wheelie while rolling along, then dropping it behind bp and letting it coast to idle, its stupid easy. In fact I'm honestly having a hard time believing that none of you can do it.

However

if you're saying that from a dead stop or extremely slow roll (5mph) to just bang on the power and have the bike hit idle as if you were clutching it up, then THAT would be difficult.
