that's interesting about the coke. i thought it was a joke. and the part about the clutch heating up ( or not, from quick engage ) makes sense, but i didn't think you could disengage the clutch or tranni from cutting throttle. either way it's got to be bad on the tranni. good point.

as for the cage, everyone i've talked to said even the ones that hug the panels, they all scape the pavement in deep cornering. what do you guys think about the race rails? a good comprimise, or has to be a cage?

i dont think thats how it works. i believe what makes it possible to shift without the clutch is the design of the transmission. close ratio gears.
