How much would you have paid for this tank?
Re: How much would you have paid for this tank?
355 LT1, i was gonna do a 377, but it would have been way more expensive. im still undecided on a tranny, i found a pretty nice standard conversion kit that im thinking about picking up.

I don't think it turned out too bad for a first timer. It actually looks better in person. The pictures kind of make it look uneven so I had to take a double take at my work, and it looked symmetrical. I'm off to Home Depot or something for sandpaper, tape, and a matte black rattle can. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Words of advice: I didn't have to with this tank because it didn't come with one, but I would take out your fuel pump before you start mashin' away. With all the jarring, I'd say it's enough to leave it distraught. Also, the difference between a rubber mallet and a dead-blow is night and day! Use the dead-blow! Lastly, I found that the 1/2 of phone book I used helped distribute the blows nicely.

It didn't turn out as well as I planned, although I have some line cleaning to do. I should have spent more time taping and prepping - got too excited to get finished.
