How much would you have paid for this tank?

Just wondering. I bought it off ebay. I figure I will be able to use a wooden punch like an end of a broomstick or something to straighten the dent through the fuel pump hole and then cone the top afterwards.

I wouldn't have bought it. Hope you aren't planning on denting that. It's going to be a disaster if you do.

$28 to the door was too much?

I figured I'd give it a try.

Ok for that price it's worth a try. Just be careful. Even if you pop it back out it's going to want to fold and crease like a chinese woman at a laundry.

The damn shipping was more than the tank... $10 tank and $18 ship. I'll just have to be careful.

pull your pump out then use a wood rod/dowel and bang that ****** out from the inside. start with the outer portion of the dent working your way in.

Re: How much would you have paid for this tank?

even with that dent in there, with the 05/06 tank that will not affect the tank denting at all. that part doesnt get sunk in on the 05/06.

Anyone have any pics? I remember there being a thread on the 05-06's, but couldn't find any in the searches. I was never good at hunting easter eggs.

Re: How much would you have paid for this tank?

or you could rig up a grill lighter so you can get spark from about 20ft away, inside the tank and spray some ether in the tank, seal it and light it... should pop that dent right the **** out!

JOKING!!!! Obviously don't do that... very bad idea. However, that trick does work for seating the bead while mounting tires... still not a good idea though... crazy farm boy tricks

Re: How much would you have paid for this tank?

lol word, my buddies have a farm and do that for mounting the tractor tires... you need quite a bit more ether than a f4i tire.. its pretty hairy.. but works none the less.

what r u puttin in that monte? twin turbo what?
