Full Throttle HB Problems!!!!!!!

I never bleeded anything before and never had a handbrake before. i mounted the HB master cylinder and the lines and handbrake. i bled the lines till no more air came out. the rear brake was really strong. then when i went to pull the handbrake in it worked the first time. the second time it lost pressure and the third time i pulled the brake lever in there was no more pressure at all like it ran out of fluid. Yes my fluid resevoir is Full. so i pumped the rear brake again and it was strong again and stayed strong and the handbrake was strong too but after pulling it in 3 times it lost pressure again. im thinking theres not enough fluid in the system? I dont know for sure. Could it be air? i couldnt really have time to find out the problem because i had to be somewhere. but what do you guys think it is? So after school i can fix it right away and test it out!:YEAH O ya mounting the HB master cylinder is a bitch. I saw the way teach did his, thats how i did mine at first but the cable was bending like his was in the pic he posted up. I didn't like it, so i mounted it on the right fork (as if you were sitting on the bike) and ran the short line straight to the M.C. and since the long line is friggin huge i ran it through my sunframe to the other side of the bike behind my fairing and behind my forks and mounted it. This was the only way i found out where the lines and the cable weren't under pressure or bending and had good slack.

I just don't know why its not working right....I bet al it needs is more brake fluid.

if there "not enough fluid in there" then that means there is air in there......

the problem is simple, you are a squid who has no business owning a handbrake.

No its not. Cause the first way i hooked everything up... both the handbrake and the rear brake worked great, but when i disconnected everything to mount everything a better way it didn't work right?

Re: Full Throttle HB Problems!!!!!!!

you need to bleed each point in the system starting with the rear master, all the way to the caliper. you DEFINATELY simply have air in the system.

do you have the new system or the older ones?

and did you read the directions? bill's directions are very clear and detailed and i promise that if you follow them, it will work.

Re: Full Throttle HB Problems!!!!!!!

When you diconnected the hand brake air got in the lines. Go to a bike shop or auto store and buy a brake bleeder it will save you so much time and they have instruction on how to use it. But f**k reading that **** trial and error always works for me.
