Carbed or F.I.

Reading through the forum I read responses saying to get an f.i. bike, carbed sucks and so on. What is the bottom line and when did most bikes start using fuel injection? I've got 1 of each, stunter is carbed, not good enough to say that f.i is better besides flooding when it ends up on it's side and throttle response.
