Re: handbrake setup

yeah your setup looks fine , ive been using the msr raptor ezpull ,clutch it slips like butter! The way I learned 1 finger clutch (index) 2finger HB (middle, ring) is from a stopped sitdown ,just clutchin up fast to and past BP ,and just catching the fall back with the HB . So basicly your still in sitdown position but just using the Hb instead of the FB. After you get it down so your like just bustin out consistent sitdown circles with the clutch/HB method (1,2 finger) and cruising the lot without putting it down or on the bar for a while. You know once your comfortable with rockin slow wheelies all around in sitdown with ONLY the HB then youve got it down . The next step is just transferring all that to being on different parts of the bike (which was and still is an awkward switch) . Or hey atleast trying this method is a good way to get a feel for and test out your HB. Um hope this helps a bit. and makes sence! Im still a litle jet lagged bro Im in your neck of the woods out in Pasadena ,Ca. right now so if youd like I could show you what I mean ,and peep your setup , If you got a practice spot. or whatever.

right on ,it looks like I may be here for at least a couple months ,Im out here because of them wildfires. I flew out here ,But Im looking into getting my bike shipped out. Right now they got us working 7-7 ,7 days a week so I'l let you know when I get some free time. let me know how that sitdown method works ,startoff with footdrag sit downs I find thats the easiest way because you have your foot to stabilize you when you stall ,stop and have to clutch out to keep the bike goin at idle..

I had that problem. But The MSR Raptor eazy pull fixed that and sorry OMR I disagree with you for the 1ST time ever! With the brembo it is a lot better with it on the inside.

Re: handbrake setup

sounds like a user error.

your setup looks fine. you shouldn't have to "catch" the brake when clutching it up. you should be able to clutch it from a standstill to balance point for idle stuff in a SS without having to jab the handbrake. i barely use my handbrake until i get into the circles. you just have to get your hands used to where they need to be.

and yes, you have to clutch with the tip of your finger.
