f*cking rediculous florida law
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
Just find a spot to stunt where you are no danger to anyone. That way you can show respect to the cop that you are trying to do what you like to do without putting anyone in danger and this is the best place you thought was appropriate or does he have a better solution?
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
I'm just basically highly offended by the general state of things now. It seems we are now living in a "police state" and are being controlled like cattle by our government. There are cameras at intersections, legal bugging of our phones, way,way too many uniformed officers running around, terrorizing the lower and middle class and we are heading toward a "nanny state" similar to England. I'm ****** hatin' it ,big time! Plus florida sucks sooo ****** bad these days,it makes me wanna move to the jungles of New Guinia ,and just chill and eat sago grubs wit da Kombai!!!

Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
they passed somethin ilek that here a few weeks ago but its more strict and they're using it as a money grab.. 7 day license suspension, 7 day impoundment, minimum $2000 fine to a max of $10,000 plus the points of the original offense.. plus you pay for the tow and the impound fee's and all that **** and they just leave you where they pulled you over.. and if it happens twice you have no license for liek 2 years

Surely you're not talking about the police dressing like Elf's and Santa and the Easter Bunny standing behind a telophone pole with a radar gun on 436.

Looks like its not the law yet.
Thank you for using the “Contact Us” feature at www.AMADirectlink.com to alert us to Florida House Bill 137. At this point, the bill is strictly a proposal, not the law. The Florida Legislature will take this bill up for consideration during its 2008 session.
We learned of the introduction of HB-137 on September 25 and posted it in our Florida StateWatch section that afternoon with a position of "OPPOSE.” Visit our Rapid Response Center at AMA Rapid Response Center and click on the StateWatch link for more information.
We are crafting an Action Alert for our Action E-List subscribers so they know that motorcyclists are once again being singled out by a lawmaker.
If you aren't subscribed to the Action E-List, consider visiting AMA Rapid Response Center and clicking on the Action E-List link under the "Stay Informed" heading at the bottom of the page.
To get directly involved, consider joining or forming an AMA Community Council in your area. Information regarding Community Councils is available at AMA Community Councils. After reviewing the information, contact Terry Lee Cook at (614) 856-1900 x1288 or via e-mail to tcook@ama-cycle.org for details.
Thanks again for contacting us.

I WILL JUST APOLOGIZE TO SGT. STUD AND ANYONE ELSE I OFFENDED...LOOKING BACK I SHOULD HAVE JUST POSTED SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE IT'S NOT A LAW YET...AND THE BILL DIED IN THE HOUSE....

JON, I'LL BE CALLING TO VENT ON YOU IF YOU ARE NOT OUT RIDING WITH ME SUNDAY!!!
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
anyone hear about the law they passed in florida? doesnt take effect until next october, but its ****** rediculous. Once it does, any motorcycle charged with reckless driving (30mph over the speed limit, stunting, burnouts, etc) gets arrested on the spot and your bike gets impounded, even if you have a clear record. authorities are "tired of peeling people off the pavement"... i guess there too ******* stupid to realize that cagers are responsible for most fatalities. there still gonna let idiots cruise around with no helmet as long as there over 21, but if an 18 year old kid get caught doing slow wheelies in an isolated parking lot, he loses his bike and gets a criminal ****** record. what the **** is that?
another scenario... its a know fact that alot of cops hate sportbikes. I have been fucked with PLENTY of times by cops when they see my "under 21" tag (another bullshit law thats a cop magnet) cruising around minding my own damn buisness . all it takes is a douchbag cop having a bad day to claim he saw your wheel crest on acceleration (happened to a dude on a katana, no possible way you can power wheelie it in 2nd with stock everything) and your totally fucked. Its your word against his. Your word against some ******** in a dead end job that probably has no college education and a shitty highschool one. You lose. ****** rediculous

The funny thing is that we don't have a helmet law...mmmm
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
its an under 21 helmet law... im suprised you havent seen the gay ****** bright red UNDER 21 letters on license plates. I know there all over the place up here, they sent me one in the mail several months ago
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
Haven't seen those yet but pretty much everyone we ride with is over 21. My son said he heard something about the drinking age may go back to 19 but I don't know how FL will get around the Federal restrictions.
Re: f*cking rediculous florida law
the main reason for it doesnt have to do with the drinking law, it the helmet age law. If you are under 21 you are required to wear a helmet. If your over, its optional. That way cops can tell immediately if you are suppose be wearing a helmet or not without already being pulled over. Sounds like an OK idea, but is one more excuse for cops to **** with you. A kid on a stunted street bike with an UNDER 21 tag? I think me and my fellow pigs are gonna follow this guy around all night.

why appoligize? because you were right and he needs to read **** before he posts. HA I have had my fair share of the run in with the law and paid many fines because of what I was doing. I spent way too much money last year on court costs to keep my lisence but i love what i do. And as far a Cops go i have also been let off more time than not because it looked like i knew what the hell it was i was doing. You will get in far more trouble powerwheeling like a squid down a busy *** road.
