Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
Hope not - I just picked it up so I'll let you know. I'm still waiting for some more **** to finish puttin the bike together. I'll PM you when I hook it up and let you know whats up. **** was $30 so I figured I would give it a shot.
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
Yo I just reached out to that company and asked them if it would fit with the Acerbis - they said if it didnt fit they would custom make a bracket free of charge. Thats customer service. I'll let you know how I make out w them.
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
Gotta love zipties.. na like I mentioned if my gauge cluster mounts wernt broken I wouldent have needed the zipties but I did.. It was realy easy cheap and a good reason to get drunk out in the garage.

Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
Dude.. just like this. Use the actual bolts that bolt it to the upper stay and drill a hole through the Acerbis # plate. Mine bolts up perfectly, 100% stable, and I can do HC's all day long w/o worrying about it getting knocked off.
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
hahah but does the gage cluster get in the way with highchairs at all??
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
back on track though i just keep my gauges with me in the truck or my backpack and just plug em in to adjust the idle then unplug em again... my cluster still has 483 miles on it too
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?

regardless, i'm tryin to mount it up a little higher than that, so i can see it when i'm riding.
btw, neal, i was lookin at those picz again, and their matal plate looks pretty thin, so i think that if it doesn't fit behind the acerbis, you should be able to juss bend it around.

Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
Hey Dirty. I already got mine but I havent had the chance to take the upper off and the Acerbis off my GSXR. I'm gonna get around to that this week but you're right - its thin enough so that you can manipulate it however you need it but it also looks sturdy enough that it'll hold up well when you drop the bike. I'll let you know - I should be set up in the next couple of days. They were quick with the shipping - took about 3 days to get to me so you should have yours soon too.
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
I went to home depot got flat stock whiped out the welder and sawzaw and created this and primed it . drilled 2 holes in my top tripple and mounted it.. One of the 3 mounting tabs on my gauges was broke and flopped around so i ziptied it to the mount I made to keep it sturdy for when I mouse trap wheelies.. haha I kid.. But yeah supper simple mabe took all of 45 mins to make.

Does that not get in your way?
How do you pull through to HC's or special K's? What about 1 hand HC's and stuff?
edit: heres my setup with DB bars

well, if you're gonna put it behind the acerbis in a way that you still can't see it, why not put it on the side where hate puts his? ....its alot less likely to get his there.

PS.... you are about 1000x more likely to hit your gauges mounted on the side of your bike VS how/where I have mine mounted.
Re: how do u mount gauges on SF?
okay
i'm gonna wait for the bracket i bought, hopefully i'll have it soon....if that doesn't work out its either goin behind the acerbis or on the side.
