Brembo Breakage (and what-not)

Brembo 16x18 resevior fitting broke off. I've had the dang thing for a week!
Anyone else ever have this happen? Are there any other fittings that will fit?

could you do me a flavor too then???
I wanna find one of those reservoir nipples for the 16X18 thats an elbow and comes out and makes a 90 degree turn, mine runs the reservoir hose into the fork tube so my master has to sit more towards the end of the clipon than I like.

thanks

Re: Brembo Breakage (and what-not)

the same thing happened on my front brake(05gsx-r 600). the plastic piece was replaceable, it's held in w/ a snap ring on mine. don't know if the brembo one is replaceable but i'd imagine it is. mine was covered by a little rubber boot, i think i used the plastic piece off a 929?

get it fixxed, we're riding tonight and what not!

Re: Brembo Breakage (and what-not)

You let Borne touch it. Aluminum crumbles after he touches it. That why he changes his rearsets more often than his socks.

Your moves could be too bold for the Brembo.

any suggestions on installation??? anything that should discourage me from buying it??

I just cartwheeled my bike at 60mph and it didn't touch the brembo, so I might be ok leaing it where it is, but would like to be more on the tip of the lever if I could, I'm 1/4" from the ball on the lever now. Would like to use the ball to hook my finger on!

Well for me mokin one before I even try it is a must, or Id loose it and probabaly break the whole thing in half....Seriously its not that hard its just a bitch cause its such a tight fit, just lube it up and take your time...

Are you using the regular length lever or the shorty? Because I like the shorties much better then the regular lenght, I find the bend in the lever to be differnt and I like where the ball is...When I order the Brembos from Yoyodyne I get the option between the regular and the short lever.....

i use the regular lever and really like it, I would just prefer my master to be a lil closer to the fork, a lil farther from the end of the clip-on, and the ball a lil more in on the tip of my finger......litterally 1/8"-1/4" and it would be perfect!

Re: Brembo Breakage (and what-not)

Does anyone have to use a rubber band cause the lever won't spring back anymore? Will the HAI kit fix this problem?
