Another good thing about the Tygershark is it doenst bottom out and touch the ground when I drift or lean over hard, like all the other full cages that go through your lowers do.....

Your bike will be all up on the clip ons and tail with the tygershark cage... I'm thinking about buying a sub cage with solid pegs to keep it off the tail... There it a slope in front of my shop and when I first got the bike together I leaned it over then the bike tipped onto the tail and slid a few feet rashing up the tail. I don't wanna see what happens when I actually dump it.

On my 03/04 636 it might touch the tail with the TS and rash it but it doenst crack it, with the MXD or Powers it would touch the tail and crack it every time it touched down.....If you dont have rear axle sliders, get some they help alot!

The trick I find with any cage is to not compelety let go of the bike so it can roll over, hold the bars and bring the bike down. When its rested on the ground then continue with your tuck and roll...

I just buy $20 frame sliders for any bike from Ebay, and get some threaded rod, washers, and 2 loc nuts for them.....

If you let your bike roll over its going to rash your tail no matter what cage you have, that being said the Tyger shark doenst want to roll over as easy as the SI, Powers, or MXD...The huge spring loaded sliders are ****** amazing, and do a great job preventing roll over and absorbing impact!

My other buddy bought a SI for his 05 636 and he is now throwing that in the garbage and gettin a Tyger shark...The SI was a good cage but it didnt last very long before it started to shift side to side, like all full style cages do eventually....Tyger shark cages are RIGID and dont kink like the tube cages do...

The choice is yours, Im giving you my opinon based on the fact Ive seen both cages in action on the specific bike your askin about...Im gonna take a guess that most of the other people havent tried a Tyger Shark, and are saying SI is better cause thats what they have or are sponosred by SI....

Im not saying SI isnt a good cage, but IMO from what Ive seen first hand Tyger Shark has the best cages on the market right now...And I used to swear by SI and MXD..

Re: 06 636 cage

I'm not saying the tygershark cage isn't great... I think the ac farias signature sick cage is a better design because it holds the bike up further back... If you ever drop your 636 and don't hold onto it then it will flip right over... I know on other bikes where the slider is further back it can be straight up and down then fall over and still be held up by the cage. I'm sure thats the idea with the ac farias designed one. I dunno I actually have the tygershark cage and wish I bought the sick one...

Re: 06 636 cage

Im not sold on this spring loaded slider thing. The spring is pretty weak(can be easily pushed with 1 hand) so I dont see that helping much, but it sure sounds good. It does have a lifetime warrenty if it bends or breaks though which is cool. One of the guys I ride with has a tyger shark cage(03 636), and Im not a fan of it. When it goes down, the first thing it hits is the part of the cage that doesnt mount to anything.

I rock a SI cage on my 04 and I have never had a problem. When I started stunting, I had never done a wheelie before, so my bike has seen its fair share of hard falls. I do recommend the sliders though.
