Re: 05 636 hb mod

if u put just the right amount of air in the line you can still lock up the tire with enough force on the master cylinder, but it also gives a little play so it wont just lock up the tire by tapping on the brake. cause thats what i understand is going on with the kids hand brake. and thats assuming everything is set up correctly and working fine.

we used to use this trick in cars without abs for road racing back in cali...you guys think its a bad idea but it worked for us. yes you have to change the brake fluid more often as air in the lines would brake down the fluid quicker.

thats my 2 cents

brake fluid doesn't "break down" it absorbs water, when it absorbs water from AIR it lowers its BOILING temperature... Brakes will still Feel the same and act the same, but once it boils you lose all braking power.

if the brake is locking up at just a touch, its because its installed wrong, bled incorrectly, or internal parts are screwed up..

Normally its 99.9999999999% installer error.. but what do i know.

I don't even use a HB.

wheeliest to me its easier to say break down, then go into all the details of whats going on. from the day you open a bottle of brake fluid it absorbs water bottom line. jsut depends how long it takes for that fluid to absorb enough water to drop its boiling point to where it becomes a vapor inside the brake line. its all based of simple principles and if anyone cares that much to know what is going on they can go on google and read about it or ask. im not some dumba$$ that doesnt know anything, if im not sure of something i ask. i have asked u stuff about powder coating before, but i would not give advice to someone if i was not sure about it.

and yes i agree its probly installer error , how he F'ed it up is beyond me.

on another note wheeliest u down to ride some day? i know u live in avondale and im moving outta here in october, be down to ride with some better stunters for once:YEAH

Re: 05 636 hb mod

plain and simple, you don't want air in your lines...trust me.

there is something else wrong if it locks up with barely touching it. no master is designed to do that. they are all designed to have some progression of power. if there isn't, then there is something sticking, too much fluid causing a buildup of pressure on the master or something sticking.
