Would like to know too. I wanna start plastic welding some stuff though. Fiber glass resin with mat fiber glass works great.

Re: plastic welding????

Got for one for ya!The best thing is to tape the prts from the exterior sides to make the best joint as possible. Then you grind the back side to remove the paint and other debris, wash it from oil and grease. After this you are ready to weld it with an iron.No plastic material other then the one you are welding is needed, that's unlees you left a piece somewhere. In that case take used piece of fairing to fill a whole.I've made quiet a few welds and havn't broken one yet.The real important detail is how you weld it and at what temprerature you do it.They sell special welding irons for about 135$ or you can use the one you got but the thing is it shouldnt get to hot oer else the part will be crooked.Drive the iron slowly in the crack until your about half depht. The drive it in overlaping the fisrt pass.Do this four or five time. The bead you vreated is now warm.bring back the plastic from both sides of the weld to the middle.Do the other side and it's ready to fix and paint.Cheap fast and ready to take another shot!!!!
