Re: subframe snapped in a circle...
I welded and reinforced mine.....thing is stout as hell.
We plated it with diamond plate as an undertail and on the sides. Works perfect. AND prolly still cheaper than getting a new one.

Re: subframe snapped in a circle...
find a good tig welder and have him go to town on it plate and gussit the **** out of it but still thats crazy. same **** happend with my quad about a year ago. the subframe must have been cracked for a while. i went for a scrape and before i knew it the bike was upside down, one week to the day after looping my minty gsxr all i could do was laugh!! i had nothing to ride for a month
Re: subframe snapped in a circle...
Not unless i can ride up with someone else.I would love to come but not sure at the moment. And thats right after the birthday.mmmmmmm Could party up there.I will have to see what i can do.

Re: subframe snapped in a circle...
already did before I seen this.
It's alright, I know how potheads forget things!
Lemme know whats up on the new
ness and the speakers from the old!
Heres a couple pics of what we did when my sub broke. May not look like much, but it takes a pounding without blinking now!
We welded the undertail in, and welded 1/2" x 1" solid aluminum supports from side to side inside the subframe, welded those to the undertail too. then the sides have peices cut to fit and welded in. They're cut so I can still access my coolant overflow and my shock is still mounted up. Worked out really well. This winter I want to tear it down and get everything powdercoated, but the diamonod plate welded on the subframe look will work for now.
