Learning Rear Brake Debate
Re: Learning Rear Brake Debate
You can learn it however you want, neither is harder than the other, the feathering or on/off use of the brake is the same whether you are using the foot or HB.
The only thing you need the footbrake for in a wheelie is no handers. Otherwise you can just use the HB for everything else. Learning brake control and to balance your bike using the brake can be done with either. Just let the guy do whatever he wants.

and another thing if u think about it hand brakes have been around for what...2 yrs?? think of all the guys out right now that learned with nothing but foot brake doin HC and spreaders and even seat standers with no brake except engine brake thats skill i for one can honestly say i cant do that...
People have been using them for 5+ years in the states.. Outside the US, euros etc probably been using them for a long while.
Re: Learning Rear Brake Debate
I believe learning your HB first will actually make your progression faster, since you will be able to move into off the peg and tank tricks easily, instead of learning the foot brake. Then starting somthing new with the HB. Like I said only thing you are loseing is no handers.
