The only thing you need the footbrake for in a wheelie is no handers. Otherwise you can just use the HB for everything else. Learning brake control and to balance your bike using the brake can be done with either. Just let the guy do whatever he wants.

People have been using them for 5+ years in the states.. Outside the US, euros etc probably been using them for a long while.

I believe learning your HB first will actually make your progression faster, since you will be able to move into off the peg and tank tricks easily, instead of learning the foot brake. Then starting somthing new with the HB. Like I said only thing you are loseing is no handers.

ypu thats what i was thinkin i was gettin my circle game goin with seat standers but now im havin electrical problems so gotta fix it before i go at it again..
