Tank Grip/Foam?

I've seen some pads/foam on tanks that are like surfboard grip but is raised at the back to create a nice pocket so you don't slide off. What is that? Where can I get it?

Re: Tank Grip/Foam?

I think I found my answer. Surfboard traction pads. I thought surfboard pads were just flat pads, but they actually are raised at the back. That's what I was looking for.

There's a surf shop right by my house so I'm checking it out tonight.

its called surf traction. google it and youll find a gazzilion places that sell it online. Comes in differant shapes and patterns.... I like the ..LoST ones cause they come in three peices that kinda fit togeather, so you can trim em and space em out however you want.

As far as them being foam, if you go surf traction, it depends on the hardness you get.

Re: Tank Grip/Foam?

Ya, Stompgrip is expensive and never seems to stay on. Came off of my dirt bike after one race. They came off my friend's street bike after one track day.

Sweet.. that's what I'm gonna have to look for, since my bike's tank is an aluminum cover, and the petrol cap is very far back...
