Alright this is going to a noobish thread from a not-so-noobish rider.

I first started stunting about 6 months ago. I bought a 2002 R6 just for throwing around and ******* up. I got all excited and put a cage, 12 bar (which I took off so I dont break my subframe) and a ****** pro-status sprocket..went +12 in the rear.

So basically heres the dealio..my bike feels twitchy as **** (i know common with the R6) but, its VERY inconsistant. Its like half the time I can pull it up to right around BP consistantly (not very good with my rear brake yet) and half of the time it either doesnt come up for **** or it throws back way too hard. Ive learned to be consistant with my clutching and throttle but it still does it.

So im figuring there is 1 of 2 things wrong (possibly both)...

1. That sprocket is way ******* overkill for learning with...
OR
2. My bike needs to be tuned and jetted so it will run good all of the time and not just like **** half the time...

Im leaning more towards the sprocket, but let me know what you all think...

learn b/p rear brake throttle control with stock gearing first

 

Should I go all the way back down to stock or just get something like.....maybe -1 +2 ?

 

go back to stock so you dont have to buy another sprocket and then when you go back to +12 it will be a lot smoother
