What is your preference.......... What is the best setup to catch good footage......

anything you can plug into a camcorder's DV-IN socket. you can't actually beat MiniDV and DV quality,
altough some solid state recorders get quite a decent quality,
the solution is usually the bulkiest one.
an helmet cam will bring less shaky images, but you may get an headache from the driver looking around ( and bringing you with him..)

for track use, Sony has made some incredibly good "bullet cams",
much similar in quality to those used by roadracing pros..

Twenty20 worked good mounted on the bike until the wires burned up
