180 or 190 on rear?
Re: 180 or 190 on rear?
last weekend i was riding my buddies bike and he has a 190. i have allways run 180s but i really didnt notice much difference with his 190. if anything it was a little better. seemed like it was more stable but then again i did crash my a$$ off after about 2hrs. maybee it was the 190s fault?LOL
Re: 180 or 190 on rear?
i'll trade you a 180 or cash u a fingerfold for the 190, yeah though i got all the good deals off craigslist for take offs last year im waiting for this years scores to start.
as for 180 vs 190
there's a difference in handling, not much unless your on track or at high speeds in the canyon, a80's feel better for canyons, but im no pro so the difference was small to me.

wat 190's you got layen around, remind me on myspace to take the picture for you of the tread, most are good tread but 1 is on it's last legs, a few good burnouts n it's done, i'll start asking around too for who's got what i can pick up for you

ive been running 190's on my bike for over 1 year.. with lower pressures it has a little more rubber on the ground. more stable. i so used to it though i really remember what the 180 was like.. so try it! its not going to hurt anything-

well i put a tire on that a beaner mexican headache gave me with a destroyed bead
it wassnt that bad though... wheelies were stable... but i sucked today, needed to refresh myself... i was tryin some new ****, instead of brushin up on my basics. haddnt rode in a month, and that 190 gave me some stability... and i had it on full inflation.
wassnt bad, but i dont **** with battleaxes.

The 190 tire on a 5.5" rim under normal pressure will give you less of a contact area with the road than the 180. However, once you drop the pressure to like 20psi, i would say the wider tire give you more grip/contact area.
For your purpose, get whatever tire you get the cheapest but if you wanna hit some twisties once in a while go with the specified tire size for each rim.

i was actually able to change direction easily... due to me having full inflation on this tire...
