Re: 2006 R6 Recall! that hurt

first of all the 06 R6's do have cable throttles. they changed them back to the fly by wire.

second of all yamaha already offered a buy back on the 06's. because they actually redline at 16,300 and not 17,500.

the recall on the screw has been out for about 2 or 3 months now. they sent letters to everyone that needed to get it done. oh and i know a couple of yamaha corporate people that get on this site too, so lets just hope for your sake that they dont see this thread

glad you came out of it alive dude.

Yes. Throttle cables that mount to a solenoid on the throttle bodies. Just to give some resistance on the throttle. No direct linkage between the two! Pull in the clutch and hit the brakes. You are not Nicky or Rossi. No way in hell to make a 25 at 116! Rider error!

Re: 2006 R6 Recall! that hurt

That is what I was thinking. It says 25 so the engine starts revving (OUT OF CONTROL) and you let it go to 116 and try to take the corner? WHAT THE SQUID! So say he made the corner was he just going to go with it till he ran out of gas. Fly around of the other corners fast, faster, and fastest! Something isn't right with this picture! Rider ERROR! Most DEF! I am glad you are OK but, come on dude! Don't blame Yamaha for your stupidity! Better change your avatar and hope somebody deletes this thread!

I would also stop talking about how your license is suspended in 2 states for stunting. Not very smart are you! You never know who is out there looking around!

Re: 2006 R6 Recall! that hurt

Now now. I already stated once to watch out what you say! You wrecked do to your lack of riding skill. Then when you heard about the recall you where like the rest of the sue happy people in the US and decided that is what happened. The screw caused me to hit a 25 at 116. If you are so skilled in stunting and street riding you would have known what to do. So suck it up. Admit it was your fault but, do not blame Yamaha!
