All that can ride slow wheelies:
I got them down on the 50cc Motard. But, am looking for tips before I cross these skills back to the R1.
Keeping in mind that my 50 was only 5 HP and unresponsive to any throttle input (tweaky but weak 2-stroke), I dont think throttel control is going to be easy on my weezie.
It seems as though all riders who have it on lock are on 929's with FI and can use the electronic choke to bump the idles speed to keep them going and worrying only about balance.
What are some secrets for non-FI bikes?
-I thought of loosening up the throttle cables for starters.
-Gearing seems to be too counter productive to smooth out the slow stuff.
-hold the throttle with the barend in the same grip at the same time.
-Pluging the exhuast, or put a whislte in it or something
Maybe 150 HP is too much for slow stunts.
Shoot away.

umm....more power is good. gearing is key too.
and sorry to tell ya but it's harder for us FI guys because we don't have choke like carbs do.....we have to reach underneath and crank our idle way the hell up (about 30 turns on a 929) before it does. for an r1 (or my friends r6) you just use the choke on the clip on.

agree, FI sux. My cbr600 was carbed, throttle was kinda loose. Now my 750 is FI'd and a biotch to learn, to touchy. and its geared 1 down, 3 up. i'm workin on it, so i'll get it.
you just have to find "THE HAND" for it!!!

Hey thanks, guess I was confused about the fast idle.
No one cared to mention if the whislte would help out.

that whistle **** is hilarious....people are like "oh my god i can't sleep". that's bullshit, there are harley's that drive around louder than that ****, why don't they stop the harley's and restrict their sound?
bullshit
oh ya, and i do think they are stupid, but they can't say that's too loud when there are tons of other stuff that is just as loud and htey aren't restricting that.

My 50 is a Derbi (From Spain) sold here in the states now, and in cali as of this year.
its 50cc 2-stroke street legal bike.
Size wise its comparable to a 125cc dirtbike. Its got like 7 hp stock. 6 gears and weighs 150 lbs.
26hundo out the door for an 03.
