Brake/throttle technique during wheelie

I'm becoming fairly proficient with my wheelies, stand ups and sit-downs. I'm generally floating around 10/11 o'clock and haven't really had to use the rear brake yet. What's the technique to get the bike up to 12o'clock and keeping there by using brake/throttle? will I throttle up to 12, and then brake lightly while staying on the gas? or come off the gas completely while I brake?

The best thing to do is to wheelie and then use the back brake to bring you back down. Start out small
