Wheelie Questions?
Wheelie Questions?
Im new to stuntin and I just got a couple questions.
1. If Im ridin a wheelie and I start to wobble, how do I stop it?
2. Also I was reading the Wheelie guide posted a little while ago and there was something I didn't understand. The person who wrote this said " Lean the same direction the bike is falling. Example- If the bike falls to the left, than quickly lean to the left. This movement would twist the the bike towards the left and correct it."
Is that true? If the bike is falling to the left, what would happen if you leaned to the right? How wouldnt leaning to the left put your weight to the left and fall quicker?
Thanks a lot. Hope someone can answer my questions!

Re: Wheelie Questions?
Its kinda just the beginner way of thinking about it. If you are drifting left and you move to lean left, then you will be pushing off the right peg with your right foot and pushing off the right peg will bring it to the right. If your riding in a straight line and you are staning on your pegs (with both wheels on the ground) and you shift all your weight to the left of the bike, what do you do with your hands and feet? you push off with your right peg and push the bars to your right since nothing is stationary it tips right.

man go out...and just practice...the higher you are the easier it is to turn...when im rockin wheelies down the highway and i gotta make a realy sharp corner..ill bring it back reallly far so i can turn better. try to keep your weight centered and use your weight on the pegs to turn...if the corner is reawllly sharp you can try leaning to....make sure if you lean to the left your weight is on your left peg..we cant tell you all this and you go out and be badass at wheelies..you gotta practiccee practice practice!! hopefully i was helpful...but i doubt it haha

i was the one that wrote that on the wheelie thread...
if it wobbles your pressure is off, or you are too choppy on the throttle.. if it wobbles bad put it down, there's always another wheelie
Re: Wheelie Questions?
So sticking ur *** out one way or the other is futile when trying to move the wheelies one way or the other at about 60-90km/hour?
Its all about transfering weight from ur left foot or right foot?

Re: Wheelie Questions?
Sometimes I'll get wobbles if my limbs are too relaxed. I noticed I never get wobbles when I lock in my form (I don't nessicarily mean locking your arms and legs) and i don't let the bumps in the road affect it.
I wasn't able to "learn" how to control the direction of a freeway wheelie by hearing an explanation from someone. It just came to me after lots of practice. I DO know that leaning with your *** does not work at all. When you stick your *** out to one side, you push down on the opposite side peg so it cancels out your *** lean.
