just got signed by a club
I just joined the "flipped stoppie club" about 10 minutes ago
the upper cage worked great. My rear 12 bar and subframe are bent pretty bad though. the upper cage did bend just a bit but it saved my whole upper fairing and headlight. I broke a left mirror off, and broke the windscreen. ( but I should have had the mirrors off anyways.) strangly enough I am kinda happy i finally got the cojones to find out how far i can bring it up. Now i just need to remember.
I almost scraped 12 also, but man that is hard!!! I used to not really care about bar tricks, but after seeing how hard it is to just hit the bar, i now have a deep respect.
I am glad i didnt ge clobbered by the 12 bar, i start a new job tomorrow, and a broken arm/back/leg would have ruined my chances of suceeeding.

Re: just got signed by a club
I put 1/4 inch thick by 1 1/4 bars between the front and rear pegs for extra support. It just slammed down so hard on my 12 bar it bent it down on the left side pretty good. i am certain though that the subframe supports helped a bunch.

I thought Ide be more pissed than i am. Its kinda like the red badge of courage. I am glad its behind me, I hope i can learn from it now. Also I adjusted my forks back to stock length. The bike was lowered about an inch. The balance point is way lower with stock height. i actually went to my comfortable area while forgetting I changed the setup, and flipy flip flip.
