it defenitly fits into the scene of x-games... look at flatland bike... same thing but its way more fun to watch people do it on a motorcycles... x-games is known for trying out new sports... look at the winter down hill mountain biking...lougeing(spelled worng)... moto high jump... moto x big air just got on like 4 years ago and now its HUGE.. theyre down for trying out new xtreme sports... people just have to push sponsors into talking to them...
and if you truly love the sport of stunting... how could you be upset if it got more mainstream... so what if theres a bunch of young kids out there all of a sudden... it doesnt matter if your 16 or 30.. whoevers got the skill deserves the respect...anything that brings more people to a sport makes the sport better because you get new styles, tricks and creativity..
i think it would be awsome... people just need to start pushing things.. things dont happen on there own.. the people invovled in the sport have to make things happen

As much as i love streetbike stunts, it'll never go anywhere as a "sport". It's fookin boring.....same **** all the time. Streetbike stuntin belongs in the streets. It's where it was born and where it will die.
The best streetbike stunters are living too comfortably off this ish to actually take it to the next level with the insane 100+mph ish that people want to see on bikes that were made to go 100+ in the first place.
If youre wearing some clown costume or riding w/o a shirt, you aint trying....your just doing the same routine you do in lots in front of your friends and trying to market yourself with some plastic image. Sure, it might make money, but it doesnt help this "sport" if thats what you want to call it.
if you aint wearing gear, you aint pushing the envelope....if youre not pushing the envelope, I wont pay to see the same vanilla routines.

the same vanilla routines im willing to bet you cant do or have no comprehension of how they are done. We WILL keep stunting. Period. As long as **** has a clutch, an engine, and two wheels there will be wheelies. if there are wheelies there is "stunting". Eat **** and go die with your 100+ mph power wheelies on your mommy bought first bike. If you have it all figured out go hit those power whoolies up. Youll understand that everyone and anyone can do those ghey ***, no skill, mindless 100+MPH power whoolies you speak of. I could careless if i please the average joe with my "skill set". I want to impress the people who acutally ride and know ho hard it is what we do.

i think it would kinda kill the sport....like a few ppl have sed i dont want some 9 yr old kid yellin at me to do a highchair at a stoplight....look at drifting...it used to b an awsome undergorund sport hardly nebody new about...but now everyone and there mom is talkin about drifting and to me its dead....its lost what it was about...if they want to put stunting on tv let them....just dont kill it in the x games...

Re: Stunting In X-games
well in my newb opinion..... i just got into this sport for one reason....ITS UNDERGROUND... down here knowbody sees a lot of, or reallly knows of it, and i bet its mostly the same in USA.
I was doing some FMX years ago and the one reason i chose (only recently) to start at this, and not FMX is that its core, not some bullshit hype 10 year old stuff. the danger element on the streets is higher.
like has been said before, if this does make the x games, publicity will b big, and kinda kill the soul i guess?. you will get kids and moms and all that ****..... but it may get sponsors and open new businesses etc.
Lake.

Re: Stunting In X-games
I got to say it probably wouldn't grab peoples attention as much, they want extreme **** even know you can get ****ed up stunting its still not like doing backflips 40ft in the air. People want to see skateboarders pulling 900's and bmx bikes doing double backflips not someone doing a highchair. Even know I love 2 stunt I just don't see it getting to much bigger. Plus some stunters already are making a name without the x-games like Britton, Darius, Stephens. Ehh whatever just my

Re: Stunting In X-games
ok. I can see both sides of this "argument" and my oppinion is...
If the sport does get more main stream attention (be it X-games, or some other widely televised event) it would build a larger fan base and help bring people to the various shows that groups put on.
Also by bringing more attention to the sport, people would gain knowledge of riding. I mean, you look at someone doing a slow circle and it's boring to watch, but if you know how hard it is to do something like that, then you are a little more impressed. And then you notice how people are throwing down combos while rockin a slow wheelie, and you are even more impressed. But as it stands right now, the average person sees someone do a tire exploding burnout, they go nuts, cause it's loud, and smokey.
Honestly though, who the F cares if it's in the x-games or not? It's not like it's gonna happen anytime soon. I'm willing to bet that the whole face of stunting will be changed by the time it is nationally reckognized and televised even once a year. You, me and virtually everyone else on here will probably be out of the "stunting scene" by then.
Let's just keep doing what we are doing. I'll keep posting on stuntlife, hoping one day that I get to ride on the coat tails of the Stunting image and be "famous" and you guys keep bashing eachother for my amusement.

Well, that's it right there. We are the only ones that can truly appreciate and respect the slow/technical stuff.
Dont get me wrong tho, power-wheelies are weak imo but if you're at a stunt show and you had 2 separate spaces, one being for parking lot tricks and the other for high speed ****, I'd go for the latter just for the danger factor even if the tricks are whack because even if you screw up and fly around bouncing off telephone poles like a game of Road Rash, in the end, it entertains the crowd. And entertainment is the ultimate goal right?
and vetter, let go of your anger...cant be snappin on people like that. sheesh
