Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class

how can it be said that DB's are an unfair advantage?? If you are a stunt/freestyle rider then set your bike up the way you wish so that you can execute your tricks better and make them look smoother. The bottom line is this sport is NOT AMA Sanctioned, and there is no official Stunt riding series w/ a point system...so until then if you ride better w/ DB's then do it....if you ride better w/ clip-ons then do it.......just quit b*thchin about the way people set up there bikes and just ride.

i think phil "sillyneck" will hang with the liter class

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class

I think your hating because im catching up to you mr nasty I run my bars and do agree that they feel much better for stoppies than any kind of clip on. But my personal preference is I don't feel comfortable rolling without leverage. You'll always be the nasty high gangster stoppie Rick Payne. but its also the coming of times and technology... when cash is on the line everyone wants that competitive edge db bars, 1000cc bikes, Ceramic barring the whole 9 whatever gives you that edge.

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class

I've read every post in this thread... But am I the only one who didn't really thought that my stoppies improved with DB bars ??

I did stoppies with my stock clip-ons on my F2, they kinda sucked cause I was used to DB bars on my stunt moped... But after a couple of practice sessions I was used to it... After a while I bought DB bars, and it's true what Gorka said, I felt more confident. But I thought it was more because I was used to it more then to clip-ons.

My stoppies stayed the same though

But this sport is all about fun, and how you do it... FREEstyle, like said before, so everyone is free to modify whatever he wants on his bike, dispite the fact that there will always be people calling them cheaters...

But look at some great stuntriders, like kevin Carmeichel, he also has different bikes, set-up for different tricks... What's wrong with that ? If he likes it that way, and the crowd loves his show i don't see a problem that way...

I see a huge difference betweens American stuntriders, and European stuntriders... The main difference is, that American stunters seem to have problems with modifying their bikes for certain tricks, and European riders don't seem to bother...

American riders seem to care more about how tough they look, and how much respect they will get from other riders, then to make fun, and just respect every rider...

Keep this sport the way it is, everyone's free to do whatever he like's most, and just respect that... If you can't stand the fact that you're gettings you're *** beat during a stoppie contest by someone with DB bars, just shut up and practice harder ! or buy DB bars yourselve if you think that's easyer ! Don't go call him a cheater, that's just weak

GREAT THREAD ! :YEAH

Great idea... The only thing is that the stock class has got to be 100% stock. Including uncut pipe, hahaha

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class

if your gonna put dirtbike bars in a sperate class you might as well make F4i's a sperate class for every kind of stunt except stoppies.

cause hands down it makes it easier.

That reminds me of the part in White men can't jump where he says something like: "You'd rather lose and look pretty than look bad and win"
