Gotta admit, ferodo's are thick as soap bars, but I had the best results with those pads. Used SBS Street sintered pads (courtesy of Joe Brown) and had great results with those....May even be a toss-up. Stock honda's are good too, but if you had all three laid out in front of me, I would choose the ferodo, then SBS, then honda....Just my preference. Honda almost work too good. Double-H if you wear full leathers, knee pucks and have race tires.

Re: best brake pads

I used to have my own shop so I got to try a few sets of pads. I prefer Honda pads because there is no guessing. They work the same hot as they do cold and they last. I tried the sbs hh,carbon and some other compound that they offer. They all made ALOT of noise especially the EBC. They ALL work but the carbon and the hh would have you blowing through the first stop sign (if you rode on the street). Once they were warm-hot, you could grab a fist-full and swear you forks were gonna snap. I just think the Honda pads are very consistant and I,personally, like that about them.

Also, the guy that posted above this, did his first stoppie for his avatar.

If they're brand pankin' or you took them out and switched them around, you'll have to bed them in. Just don't go nuts on them fresh outta the box. My boy didn't give his time to seat and ended up scorching his rotors and you don't wanna do that! If the EBCs work for you,use 'em. I was just stating my opinion.

Yeah, EBC's are super noisy. I couldn't stand that. Honda knows something about brakes that they're keeping a secret. Gixxers are absolute garbage in my opinion. I changed the pads and lines on my Gixxer1k and they're nowhere near a stock honda setup. If you gave me the ink blot test with something that looked like the honda logo, brakes and reliability would be the first thing that came to mind. If you're running stock honda pads, you can't go wrong. Changing to something else is only a matter of finding a specific feel. Ferodo's should come with a 30k mile guarantee. Those pads lasted me forever. I didn't change my pads for almost 2 years.

If your bike is streetworthy, go down the highway or long straight and lightly drag your brakes for 5 seconds with 20 second intervals. Do this for a couple miles until you get a consistent feel before taking it to the grip. Some may have a better way, but this has always worked well for me.
