Streetfighter or what???
Streetfighter or what???
So Ive been catchin a little heat lately about runnin a streetfighter. I made the conversion about 6 months ago. Rommel (Jersey Boyz) Was my inspriation for makein the switch. I picked up on it cause it really fit my rideing style. It dosent make things easier or harder. Its leraning to adapt to different balance points and body position that makes it fun. If you run stock bars and full plastics there are some advantages and disadvantages you have vs a streetfighter. One thing I can tell ya from experience is A streetfighter will make a man out of you if you bounce back and forth. I can still rip a stocker the same way.
Yo,
Streetfighters are sick! I personally just took off my upper on my F3, but are still running stock clip-ons. I also do not think that putting dirt bars on makes anything easier... well, maybe a stoppie... LOL, but rockin 12's and anything is just as hard. In fact, I think dirt bars are harder because it is kind of like learning to ride a new bike.
Props to Ant and anybody else rockin Streetfighters!
My .10 cents, cause my .02 cents is free... LOL

yeah I think ANt's street fighter looks like **** ,I think mine looks better. I rock both and either one doesn't really give you an advantage I think people bad mouth street fighters because they can't ride and are looking for excuses . It just hurts less when my streetfighter hits the pavement. I have to admit some streetfighters look like garbage just because its a streetfighter doesn't mean it has to look like trash
i just think its funny how when ant put his on like 7 months ago everyone was poppin sh**, but now everyone got dirtbike bars on their bikes......props to anyone who is rockin dirtbike bars cause i did it and its pretty hard to ride......its like learnin all over again but i like it so i think im goin to do it to my new bike...
First of all, I don't think it even matters what everyone else thinks. You ride what you want to ride.
My opinion on handlebars is that it is just like FMX dudes cutting down the seat foam, and adding grab handles on their bikes. I don't know if it makes anything any easier because I've never rode a streetbike with handlebars. But even if it does, I just think of it as an adaptation, not cheating. These bikes aren't made for stunting, as the sport progresses the bikes are going to have to change as well.

I have done both and I like both, the bars do feel nice. I don't think it looks as good, I have always loved the sportbike look. My point of view is this......Who are you going to look at............the guy on the pretty bike or the guy rockin' circles, 12's, and maybe even a 900 ft endo.........ammmmmm geeee let me think....**** the bike........lets see skillz!!!!
Just for your info Darius, Ive decided to quit smoking, go on the patch, And huff paint instead!!! Next time I go to Cali I gonna convert Darius's 929 into a streetfighter while he is sleeping,Then Im gonna set him up with some renthals and custom risers on the escalade too cause I know how much he sweats it!!!!!! High chairs need some gettin used to cause your feet are right by the tire, and getting over and back is exagerated more because its alot wider..
