520 or 525 chain
smaller the number, the less reciprocating mass you will have bogging your throttle response. however if you're really into stunts, nothign wrong with a stock 530.. the 520 a lot of guys just dofor that extra edge, and so much of these little mods people always claim "oh wow i can totally feel the difference" but you know half the time it's just them subconciously trying to justify why they just waste $300 or whatever.
whichever you pic, TENSILE strength is important... as long as the tensile rating is higher than stock, doesn't matter if it's a 520 or a 525, it will be a stronger chain than stock. imho, 520 DID ERV2 is about the way to go.

Dont get stuck with some regular chain and oring one will last about 4 times longer and they have an Xring chain out now but I dont know much about it. make sure you count the links you took off of it if any I get 1 link off before I have to go chain shoping and then add that link back in for the count.
I went down 2, up 7 So I went with the 530 X chain for strenth. Hours of pounding & dropping the clutch tortures the chain - so might as well have a strong one.
for what ive seen - most of the racers use 520 chains for weight advantages. 525 chains from what ive heard are alittle more expensive cause there not as commonly used (could be wrong) and tons of bikes use the 530 chain.
good luck

darius is on the money. 520 chains are skinner and weaker. for stunting they will stretch out a lot easier. also 520 sprockets are only avail in aluminum which is much weaker than steel and is prone to snapping the teeth clean off. this happened to me w/ my old R1 like 3 times in one month. i work in a bike shop and see this prob all the time with liter class bikes and the sallys that need to have every accessorie avail even though it's not working in their benefit at all.
take it from me or darius. STICK W/ WIDER CHAIN AND SPROCKETS. most 600's come stock w/ 525, liter class 530.

Rodg is right,
I use my stock 525 chain, and im 1 down 6 up. And haven't had any problem so far. I haven't messed around with different size chains, but I've heard exactly what everybody is saying in here. I
Agree.
