I got Carrozzeria rims on there... Go to EastCoastWheels.com in the supermotard section...scroll down and look at complete wheels. They're in there. Yeah, I think the forged aluminum wheels make that **** pop off way better...

No doubt. The rim has to be compatable with the hub. I just dont feel like spending 500 extra a wheel for talons.

They look good but there weak. Nothing is stronger than a spoked rim.

I wish they would make a spoked rim for my Honda F4i front rim.

We're talkin bout a 17 inch wheel here... Forged aluminum should be plenty strong for what we're doing... And spoked rims are lighter... If they are lighter and stronger, then why don't they use em in road racing? Just a question, I only know about wheels in the context of roadracing and autocrossing CARS...I know nothing about motorcycle wheels, so tell me whassup. I did figure that forged aluminum should be plenty strong though...?

Re: Which supermoto besides crf450?

as long as its billet aluminum itll hold up to anything. they use billet aluminum wheels for rock crawling and other hardcore stuff.

i doubt itd matter for dirtbike wheels though

Re: Which supermoto besides crf450?

I'd recommend a bike that comes stock with a lighting system and a wide ratio transmission...WR450, CRF450X, KTM 450 or 525 EXE. I ride the bike below, an '04 YZ450F with the 4 speed transmission. It's really tough to gear it right. If I gear it tall, I can hang with my buddies on sportbikes on the backroads but have a tough time with slow wheelies. If I gear it low, I can do slow wheelies but can't hardly do 60 MPH with revving the **** out of it. If I was strictly stunting, I'd need a monster sprocket on the rear to slow this thing down. A bike with a wide ratio trans will give you the best of both worlds.

Regardless, this thing is a riot to ride and the looks you get are...PRICELESS

Re: Which supermoto besides crf450?

250's are good but if you want to race a 450 will eat you on a straight away. But they are a ton O fun to rip around town. But a 450 or bigger just wheelies like no tomorrow and are ***** out fast.

Re: Which supermoto besides crf450?

mekrew - 150 is for girls. Get a full size bike. The CRF150 is like the Katana or GS500 of the Sportbike world. The CRF250 is pretty bad as far as reliability goes. Honda recommends doing a top end every 15 hrs. No one does, but atleast the other manufactures aren't suggesting numbers like that. Naw mean?

Yeah, I feel you there. Thats why I sold the stuntbike for the motard! Got about $575 for rims/spokes and need two hubs roughly another $175. Should be together soon. Unfortunately I will still need a 320mm and gears.

Damn motorcycles keep my bank account empty! Clutches, tires, wheels, sprockets, plastics, cages, handbrakes, F***.. its ENDLESS!
