forget about powering **** up. At least for me it was to unreliable. Best is to clutch it up for learning. Its alot more predictable that way. Also try it in 2nd gear it wont be as twitchy. If your gonna do it in first BE READY cause it will snap up like a **** in 1st.

and always cover the rear brake!

The balance point for wheelies is always the same. You might want to try bouncing it up in a 2nd gear standup. My reasoning for this is thats the way your brain is hardwired, your best balance is in the standing position. Be carefull though because you have more leverage in this position and its easy to pull it over, esp with the 929's injection response. Take your time and good luck.

ya

I have a number of ways to do them on my 929rr.

I just roll on the throttle in 1st and it pulls up and once it balances then i shift to 2nd, 3rd, and so on.

If i'm going down the highway I get it in second, go up to 6k rpm then clutch it up from there then start shifting.

To do standups i either pull up in first, then when i shift into second gear i stand up, or i'll clutch it up in 2nd and i stand up when i clutch it up. I can't shift while i'm standing yet cause i can't reach the shifter but i'm working on fixing that.

Most important thing, lean back, a lot of people lean forward when teh front wheel comes up. With a 929 you don't even need to hammer the throttle to get it to come up, just roll on it about 3/4 throttle and around 9k rpm it will lift up.

You have a 929- No clutch needed!!! (unless your throwin 12's)

take your time and learn your bike before you start trying to stunn!
I agree, just learn slowly about the bike.

You wanna ride em long that takes time and PRACTICE- sounds like now your chasing the front end to the rev limiter- you'll have to find that balance point- I recommend it in 2nd instead of first cause it's not as twitchy.
