Re: The Colbert Thread (official story)

i would just like to say that i totally agree with all of the riders in this forum and i was only paid to edit JD3, if it were my movie theres no doubt everyone would get cases, the movies only do cost $1 and i think everyone in the movie deserves copies because without them there would be no JD3. Unfortunetely i cant just send people movies because i dont own them and i dont want to be held responsible for problems people have with colbert

Looks as if Its time to start contracts, no matter how small or large the deal is. Protect yourself and your work. Your time shouldnt be free esp. when others are making money off your efforts.

Things aren't perfect people. If you are going to do something for someone and expect a return, don't take it at face value. get it in writing and get it notarized. it's the only way you are going to get what you want from something or someone.

There are generalized contracts available at STAPLES that you can use to write up an agreement and it will hold up in small claims court.

Eh, I love posting on here drunk...... Time for another beer, who's with me?

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WITH A CONTRACT...?
TAKE TODD TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT OVER 5 FREE VIDEOS THAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TOP GIVE YOU......NO OFFENSE DUDE BUT THATS A JOKE!

I HEAR YA ON THE CONTRACT THING FOR BIGGER DEALS...BUT TO THROW SOME FREE VIDEOS AND SHIRTS TO THE RIDERS THAT MAKE UP THE CONTENT OF YOUR VIDEO....NOW THAT'S JUST GOOD BUSINESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS. SOMETHING APPERANTLY TODD AND HIS NUT TUGGERS NO NOTHING ABOUT.

P.S. JD3 SUCKED

It's not like this hasn't been said before. I'm pretty sure this all went down on JD2 as well. We all would like to think that the world is peachy keen and you can trust everyone but we all know you can't. I understand that a free vid or something would be nice, but what was the reason you sent the footage in, in the first place? I'm pretty sure it was for the exposure, not the couple of free vids.

Ok back to my week long binge drinking... it's cold up here.
