Re: What is it worth?

losing things (people's lives,....) and being accused of already being a part of this after an accident got me into this....so for me, losing things because of this, is unacceptable....I can always make more money, there'll make more parts, but you can't get new freinds to replace old ones, and losing a relationship can be worse than you make it out to be(yeah I know...for all you grabbing your nuts and saying ***** is ***** and all women are ***** cept mom....doesn't sound right to you, but I'm not you)

...I've lost alot of repsect from family and people I know because of what I've worn(cop's lie, ftp), said, and done, and its made different aspects of my life unneccesarily harder for me, just to represent the SECOND lifestyle I am pursuing

....I've also gotten farther away from old friends, lost new "friends" in this "sport", and nearly lost friends who entered this "sport" at the same time, even ones I've been friedns with since we were 3 years old!!!!

....I have gained a few freinds, alot of people I've "ridden with", and I've gained extra phone numbers in my cellphone for parts, riders, service shops, and so on

I've spent alot of money, borrowed items that have been broken thats caused problems. I've been ticketed and paid fines I've been arrested, ticketed, jailed.....and everytime was an experience thats changed my outlook on things.

I have a fiance, I'm in college(90,000+ in debt), I have belongings(bike, car,...) and many other things going for me.....

....so how much am I gonna give up??? NOTHING, that I can avoid, I'll fight til the end to keep my car, bike, education, girl,...and so on. obviously if things are TAKEN from me I can't avoid that.....like friends who pass away before their time, and if the bank repoes my car....but I can work on relationships and ask my girl to be a part of things instead of leaving her at home and avoiding her.

almost everything I've done I've been really good at, and usually really quick, its just in my blood I guess....I've got family who pitched semi-pro baseball and signed a MLB contract before getting polio, I have a cousin who is a professional gamer(clearing $230,000 in 2005), and thats just part of it. At most other things I've been par for the course, but get bored too fast....

...until now, I've been at this for right at a year now, and I'm struggling, but thats the best part, the challenge.....thats why I'm still on here and dream about riding, and why I'm in postgrad. college

so after all this, with everything/everyone I've lost and gained, when I roll to a lot I'm still a squid and sure I haven't yet gained that respect as a true "stunt rider." BUT I'm the guy buying parts, stunt videos, trying to save to go to events like stuntwars, so I can PAY to get in and watch the top riders.

Sorry for the long post, but I got just one more thing to say, not to **** anyone off, but just an observation....alot of unsuccessful people I know around here have said some of the same things I read on this site every now and then. Those that ARE successful in business or life, know that this isn't THE ONLY THING, even if it is the #1 thing to you. This has become one of the top things in my life, right behind my fiance and finishing school. My dreams anymore are about how I'm gonna be a part of this and CONTRIBUTE to this sport....not to put it down(if you took it that way). I hope you take it how it was meant and catch what I'm trying to get acrossed. This will be a way to make a living for a few best riders out there, a hobby for most of us, and entertainment for everyone else.

Re: What is it worth?

This post gave me the chills after reading everyones! I know no one on here really knows who i am cause i dont post much but i have so much passion abou this sport and so much desire to succeed that everythhing i do revolves around riding.

I gave up a "what could have been baseball career" to ride
I changed careers so i had time to work out and ride. (And more $ to buy parts)

I gave up a snowboarding sponsor ship to ride because i just want to ride my bike.. no desire to snowboard anymore since stunting took over

I have lost a brand new bike which i blew up and still owe 7,000 on

I have lost tons of Money!!

But i have gained a new passion... and a new challange to life

Gained tons of new friends, and lost old friends

Gained lots of road rash

I spend way to much time looking at SL.. cause thats all i think about is stunting

Like i said i know that know one knows me, but i do intent to change that as much as possible in 06. I have alot ot learn in this sport but one day i hope to be one of the ones talking about being in mag. and doing shows! I have moved to OHIO and if there is anyone around here that needs some new competition or just someone to ride with hit me up!

P.s. this tread changed my outlook on the stunt World!!!! GREAT POST!! :YEAH
