so what would you do...from a business perspective? should i just send him another cage & trust that this guys that is on the other side of the world is going to send it back? i used to do that, but like everything else in life, one bad experiences **** it up for everyone else. ive learned my lesson the hard way. its taken over 3-4 months for him to even try putting it on, another week shouldnt be the end of the world.

long time no talk man.. hope all is good.

from talking to jeff a long time ago , i know he puts time n effort into what he does, n hes good for his word.

jeff
try offering a advance exchange, that way you can send the customer his cage and get his method of payment like a credit card, and if you dont get your cage back charge him.

if i where in your shoes i would get his CC# ship out a new cage ASAP with a return tag to send back the cage that doesnt fit back. then you can get the defective cage n see what happend to be ****ed up on it..

happy holidays br0

Re: MXD cage doesn't fit :(

what if the cage sent back shows signs of use and abuse?

Not saying it does just hypothetically speaking

that is a great solution. only problem is i cant take CC orders. i had it set up when we first started, but we were so small that they would just take money we basically didnt have. im to the size now where we need to get it going again, but its basically a 2 man show over here, & i really dont have time to even send out invoices, do paperwork, etc.

and moto- if the cage is severly damaged, i would probly replace it with a street cage if the guy isnt a **** about it. i just got a 929 cage that was destroyed, but i didnt like the original design, so i redesigned it & sent him a brand new one free. i think its mr farley on here.

and art, free shirt & hoodie is what he going to get. i just got them in a week or so ago. i try to do my best to make up for when we mess up, it happens, there nothing i can do about it but try to make it better, & thats what im doing.

hope everyone is happy & have a great holiday. look out for us in 06, we have a ton of new products coming out. aluminum stunt stays, 3 point cages that dont connect the left side to the right side, & we are working on a CNC right now. hopefully that goes through & its on. i can quit my day job & do this full time....we can dream i guess.

Whats up with that 3 point cage??? I would just change the diameter of the upper motor mount frame slider to fit a bigger delron tip.. Might have to build one myself unless you need another rider to sponsor!!!!!

What was so bad about the 929/954 design? I have a friend that is selling me his brand new MXD cage for his 954 (the old style). I haven't bought it because I don't want to waste my money (and the cage I made seems to be holding up). Is there any way to swap out the old design for the new? The cage is brand new in the box. I guess I could beat it like Farley and then send it back.

have you ever seen a MXD cage in person? its cool to bash my product if youve truely seen it work poorly, but i have a feeling youve never seen one in action & you are probly sponsored by FI. maybe im wrong, but i doubt it.

no, but i will sell you a new design. the cage worked OK but i didnt think it looked good, it was a little in the way of shins on some people, more cosmetics than anything else.
