Anybody Got Any Thoughts On Stunting A 600rr? Like It? Any Pointers? I Might Be Pickin One Up Cheap And I Was Wonderin If Anyone Was Rockin One. The Only Downer I Can Think Of Is A Weak Subframe. Anything Else???? Open To Any Advice

Re: Stunt A 600rr??????

i went ahead and bought it. a local chick bought it new like 2 months ago and get the this. the NEXT day she let the salesman take her for a ride on it.... asked if he could ride around the park by hisself one time and put it into a boulder, and she thought it was totalled and its been settin in her garage.... needless to say i picked it up for 2000 and streetfightered it.... and about that tank..... i'm workin on that. i'll post if i can find any sollutions... i was thinkin about tryin to heat warp it but the pain will be the actuall tank... not the tank cover

Take off the tank cover and dent the metal tank where you want it then heat up the plastic cover and form it down into it

YUP YUP, but use fireplace gloves cause that **** gets a lil warm. I was heating it standing on my seat then standing on it to push it in......felt like it was burning the soles of my feet!!!!

The idle screw is simple, just go get one for a 900RR, then go to the search button and and look for it.......my wrist says everyone can kiss my *** on my typing the instructions again It's really simple, just pull up the throttle bodies and you're 90% there!!!

You can see the tank in the first pic, the acerbis headlight, proof the tank works, and a photo of my ugly mug trying to roll a stoppie!!!

Where you can see my air ducts on the right side of the bike in the first pic, on that exact spot on the opposite side is where my idle screw comes out......the second 900RR one, the stock one is where it always was.

Re: Stunt A 600rr??????

600 RR's doing have very weak subframes and the only problem will since they are the race replicas the powerband and throttle will be different. It will stall at a higher RPM.

I say go for it.

I have a powercommander on it that hooks up to my laptop.....never had it stall yet with it on there.......but never tried without it either, was on there before I ever tried a wheelie!!!

I haven't had any issues with the subframe being weak, BUT I could swear someone said something about the "weight being reduced" when they changed the bodystyle to closer match the 1000RR. Mines an '03 so it might be stronger than an '05 if thats where they cut the weight .....My subframe and 12 bar has been nailed into the ground without damaging or bending the subframe at all , in fact my first 12 bar's sides bent a 1/2" to the left and the subframe held like a champ.........curious about the '05's subframe now though!!!

My main b itch about my 600RR was how tall the seat was and how long the clip-ons were....now that I have DB bars I love it!

Check out Bullo!!!!! He's doin all kinds of sick shiat on one.......also G from sic riders tears it up on his!!!

Darius was rockin some circles on a stock 1000RR in SIU 3 too

Kelm-----it definately feels like you are riding with a phonebook on the seat!!! Like any other bike you get used to eventually and it feels like its the norm....feels weird when I get on my buddies 954 or gsxr750, feels like I'm sittin inside the bike compared to mine.
