Re: carb'd bikes??

they work pretty well as long as you don't 12' em. They die at 12

Re: carb'd bikes??

Mine drags on the bar pretty good, I can drag long enough for most bar tricks, including linking 3-4 tricks together for bar trick combos etc

I agree with my boy, its all in the rider... I try to blame it on my bike, when i shouldnt be blaming anybody but myself for not getting out and putting time in...

only problem with carbs, is cold weather startups. and trying to have it on the bar forever. And if you got a crbed out bike, you shouldnt want it on the bar for to long. Chances are you dont have a oil pickup...

How can it be the rider when the bike dies, even when your reving it. I dont get this. If your carbed bike dies no matter what you do while at 12oclock on the bar, I dont think its the riders skill. I think its the bike

Re: carb'd bikes??

my carbed bike was good once on the bar, but still died out after like a 30ft drag. 99% of carbed bikes die out on the bar, no way around it, and if it does run on the bar, its real boggy and when you bring it down it sputters and everything. If you wanna do bar tricks seriousely, get a FI bike.

Re: carb'd bikes??

what happens is the carbs fill up and flood the bike out,if your idle is way up it'll use more gas before it floods out,but id say learn on a carbed bike and when your smooth with it a FI bike will be the way to go.

Re: carb'd bikes??

mine dies after a bit an trust me it's NOT the rider...when i don't turn my idle up an i'm creepin, almost stoppin forward motion, she even starts to cut out without touching the bar...turning up the idle makes a difference but FI's tha way to go(unless you don't want your bike runnin off on its side like in SIU 3 lol)

Re: carb'd bikes??

It's not going to effect you too much while you're doing (and learning) the slow stuff. It really depends on the model... might cut out, might bog, might not have a prob at all. For the most part the problem comes (for me and a few buddies at least) when you do drop it. Biotch to start, and when it does it runs like crap for a while till the floats etc sort themselves... I'm looking forward to a FI bike, but till I have the $$ built up for a new bike to trash, I'll be making do with my heavy azz '96 GSX-R 750.

Peace!

Re: carb'd bikes??

just re-jet it.

you can make adjustments to help it out. plus you shouldn't need to be on the bar that long anyways. it only takes about 4-5 seconds to put it on the bar, drop an ape hanger, get back on and start rocking a slow wheelie again.
