CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

Made a roundbar to protect the rear fender, 1/2" solid steel bar fits inside the subframe (goes in 3"-4"). All you gotta do is slightly bend the subframe out and insert!! Once your done you can have it welded in permanently, comes unpainted. Price is $25 shipped, each one is made to order.

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

Why would run both? Super duty Subframe?

I like it, it looks clean. If you mounted it like 6"-8 out from the tail could you get your foot in there for FIB tricks? or is to narrow? Props for a sweet roundbar.

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

See, I would buy one but I want one that is out further for FIB but I'm gonna have to reinforce my subby. Gonna have to make my own I think.

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

It is 1/2" solid steel but i dont want to sell something that could possibly bend mid trick and **** a fellow stunter up!! The main purpose was just to support the sub frame and protect the fender, you could use 3/4" hollow and put it around the sub frame, but the hollow bar felt really weak..it didnt even bend smooth at the corners. I like the idea prickster has with his FIB roundbar mounted with the 50stunt brackets, im sure i could bend up something like that too.

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

Yeah i think its 3/4" solid mounted in the bracket, in his latest video he tosses the bike and it flips/lands on the bar and its fine!!! So i'm thinking the tiny roundbar to support the subframe would only help **** like that more!! Im gunna have to measure and see how long it would be and maybe bend one up

Correction...... it's 5/8" solid steel, gotta find it and try it now!

Ok, let me know. If it's long enough for FIB and the price is right I will buy one. I am reinforcing my subby first with gussets and triangles so I'm not concerned with the stress on my subframe.

How much are you paying for the rod crzy? I may be able to get it way cheaper... (I work at a steel yard I sell steel all day)... But not sure if it would be worth it after shipping i could pre cut them for you and everything... I would make some but i dont have anything to heat it with at my new house yet...

Do you have the 50stunt 12 bar brackets already? I might try to order a set so i can bend up the right width so its a sure fit, might take a little while to get it all done. I'll keep ya posted though.

Yep, I have the brackets already. I would buy another set though because I want to use the 12 bar on another 50.

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

Just keep in mind people...The farther the bar gets from the subframe, the easier it is to bend that subframe. Because it takes less effort for the ground to force it to tweak. Kinda like breaking a rusted up bolt. The longer handle u have on the wrench the easier it is to break that bolt loose....=-)

Re: CRF50/XR50 Subframe Round Bar

Will it hold itself in place without welding? Also, I'm stoked about mine. When I put it on, I'll probably even throw on the new plastics I've had for like 4 months lol
