Fab 5 and 88 kit...wow!!

Fab5 hooked me up with an 88 light bore at a great $. This guy is awsome when it comes to tech advise. He responds quickly and I recieved the kit with the fastest shipping I've ever had from mail or web ordering. The kit was excellent quality and went together great. Once I get the jetting fine tuned it will be perfect. I tried everything I could on the stock engine to get more power without spending cash but the light bore is the way to go. I'm running the 88 kit with stock head, stock cam, ported intake manifold, stock carb, and stock exhaust with the headpipe ported, and the inner spark arrestor screen removed. The stock end cap and outer screen are left as stock. I modified the stock air box for no restriction. The bike runs great. With the stock gearing I lost no low end and gained a ton of power. I weigh 200 lbs. and the bike pulls me through the dirt with no probleum. The only thing I can see is the clutch giving up the ghost, but I'll wait an see. I might play with the gearing, it will easily pull a bigger gear, but for the riding I do I'm not sure I want to mess with it. THANKS FAB5 :YEAH

Nope left the stock oil pump in. I can't see were I'd need to upgrade it unless I was running a cam and rev box where I'd be reving it to the moon.

I think I'm gonna bust out the dremel and port the intake a bit. Couldn't hurt I guess since I'm running the stock carb with the 88 kit.

It might not have enough pressure coming through the hole to send it to the right places, but the more getting pushed through could move more around send it there. Wait till fab5 get on here

I have a cam and a rev box, and I still have every thing stock, That is the only way to rock a light bore kit, any thing else you do will loose the torque, ya you might gain a tad on the top end but ridding around full bore is gay, unless your bike is 110 and goes 50+, if you sunt you keep that bitch up on one and pimip slow
