Headlights!!!

Finally got 1 of the fiddys done. Put the ricks 90 watt stator on with a Trail tech 75 watt billet light. It's bright as hell and definitely worth the $165 I have into it. :YEAH I will get some pics up in the next day or so!

Re: Headlights!!!

Installation was actually simple. Stator is factory direct plug in. Then u just have to ground the headlight and voltage regulator. Connect the regulator with stator and headlight and thats it.
Here is my set up:
Here is what you will need:
1. Rickys 90 Watt Stator (www.rickystator.com) $99.00
2. Voltage Regulator (same place) $20

That will allow you to run up to 90 watts of lighting. U can get whatever light combo you want headlight, tailight, etc.

3. LIGHT: I went with the Trailtech Atv Billet Light (the 75 watt flood one ). I got mine from www.rockymountainatv.com (they were $39.99 http://www.rockymountainatv.com/home.asp?sid=0003961201 )

4. ON/OFF Swith: I just went to Radio Shack and got a switch so I could turn the light on/off.

Installation is easy. The hardest part was pulling the flywheel off to change the stator. I bought a flywheel puller and it made life so much easier ($15) I mounted the light using the number plate bracket mount (I'm running the BBR bars though , stock doesn't have it) I just drilled a hole in that bracket and mounted the light there. Wire it up and you got the best headlight set-up for a fiddy.

After I did the one, I did the complete installation in the 2nd bike from start 2 finish in an hour.

Re: Headlights!!!

Nice and un-obtrusive too! Is there any downside to the different stator? (I'm kind of no-engine-mod guy, no big bore etc. for me)
