Balancing side 2 side

I need some help with balancing my wheelies from side to side. I can find my balance point pretty easily front to back wise, but eventually I get squirrely and lean it to the side too much. This is the only reason I'm not rockin'em up and down the block! I've tried many ways like stickin a foot out to counter balance, (that only makes me lean even more!?) moving me bum around on the seat, and lettin my legs hang to the side to lower the balance point. None have worked very good or consistently. I practice about 2hrs. a day and my pegs are gettin wore out.

i have a hard time balncing my *** ont he seat too. i rarely ever do sit down wheelies. i mostly stand up and i can do a whole a whole mile if it didnt hurt my back so much. i do sit downs in 2nd gear and wheelie til the engine screams.

take some air out your back tire the flatter the tire the less side to side you'll go
i perfer 2nd gear put like 2-3 mph yank like a bastard use your rear brake and you will wheelie like a pro

I already let some air outta my tire, it has about 2.5lbs in it. Even like that sometimes I can feel the tire moving aorund on the rim.

Put some air back in your tire. 2 things, balancing from side to side is a major bitch if you have new tires. Wheelies get alot easier when your rear tire starts showing some wear. My homie was rolling nice wheelies on his fiddy until he got a new tire and now he sucks all over again. The second thing is if you are still learning the wheelies, you will naturally kinda tense up your arms and that will prevent you from moving your body around to counteract whatever side to side movement your bike throws at you. When you pull the wheelie up, keep your knees tucked to the side of the bike, if it goes to the side, stick out the opposite knee. If you are pulling your wheelies up with your knees already out that might be your problem. You have to act quick and dont leave the knee out too long or lean your body one way too long or you will over correct. Um... what else... Dont be choppy with the throttle or brakes, that will make you go to the side as well, and try stay semi relaxed and still.

I think it's because I am choppy with the throttle. I don't know, it just seems like a natural reaction. I still cover my rear brake when I do start to loop, but mostly I'm using the throttle to keep me balancing.

Thanks for the advice Lb3

I have had my 50 for 6 days wheelies, still suck I will eather overbrake, shut the throttle, or loop it , should I buy the 12 0clock bar dose it help to protect the bike or, help you learn with out looping? I still have stock bars and forks, which I may have bent trying rolling stopies(crash, crash, chash) are Bmx bars better for wheelies than Mx bars I perfer the look of Tag mini bars, how hard is crashing on these little bikes ? do they break alot? Jumped it over a small dirt jump yesterday about 1.5' feet high what fun. How high can I jump before I start to break things ? I am 5'6 175 lb

most wont learn a wheelie in 6 days dood. if u have trouble balancing, go faster. believe it or not, its easier to ride a fast wheelie than one at 2mph. any stunter can tell u that. dont get the 12 bar to help u from flipping the bike. that will just put u in a bad habit. that bar is meant for stunts. (ape hangers) just cover that brake lever. i bent mine out a bit so its easier to hit in emergencies. im 6'3" 200 lbs. i refused to even ride my bike without the bmx bars. for me, they are a must. however, i have friends that swear by the stockers. as far as breakin things, i get 6' of air all damn day without breakin **** and all i got is gearworks springs. try to avoid jumps that dont have a nice downside. jumping off a 6' tall cliff wouldnt be very smart. just practice man, U WILL GET IT IF U DONT GIVE UP.
