learning to stunt?
Re: learning to stunt?
Have u ever stunted anything before? IF not, then i would suggest you get an xr/crf50 and learn to control it. Learn how to find the balance point and learn the brake and throttle control. After you get pretty good on the 50, then you could look into getting a bigger bike. Though they are not the same, the concept is the same. The little bike makes for a great learner, plus its a lil more forgiving than a big bike..........However i have seen guys jump right onto a big bike and pickup everything without hardly any problems....So to each his own......But IMO, IF you have never stunted and you want to play a little more safe. Then i would suggest starting on a smaller xr/crf 50........But this is just my 2 cents........=-)

Re: learning to stunt?
im not new to motorcycles but im new to stunting and want to get started.
I've put new sprockets on my bike.
and I'm wondering the best starting point.
Do i start with my left foot on the passenger peg wheelies or just sitdowns or whats easiest to get started?

Re: learning to stunt?
depends in what your comfortable with. I started with basic clutch ups doing stagger stance aka left foot back. Just make sure YOU ALWAYS COVER THE REAR BRAKE!! its a life saver. Im sure people with more experience will chime in. just throwing out the pointers that Ive been given your way.
Re: learning to stunt?
ive had 3 rr's they're all that way the rear pegs are just in a wierd spot and at a weird angle......OMR subcage made mine feel much better
Re: learning to stunt?
thanks man
i plan on getting an omr subcage later this summer
i gotta get some money for a crash cage first.
would you reccommend an si cage?
Re: learning to stunt?
I'd definitely recommend you get a 50 (or at least some seat time on one), just to get more comfortable with balancing, covering/using the brake, and being smooth with your throttle hand.
As far as staggerd or sitdowns, just go with whatever you feel most comfortable with. I started with sitdowns, but once I got over the intial awkwardness of stand ups, they felt sooo much better. If nothing else, it's nice to be able to see where you're going...
